2023 Wild Food rambles

These classes will be foraging hikes where we will be outside looking at, identifying, tasting and in some cases actually harvesting wild foods. Dress for the weather (rain or shine) and bring whatever you need to be comfortable: water, bug spray, boots, rain gear, etc.

  • Tuesday, April 18, 2023 5:30pm.  Invasive Garlic Mustard Harvest.  FREE EVENT! We’ll meet across the street from Be Wild Burgers (the old Dairy Queen) at the south end of Main Street, St Croix Falls. (Please don’t park in their parking lot, though.) We’ll take a leisurely stroll on the Ladder Tank Trail and admire the Early Spring Woodland plants. Since this is State Park land, we’ll only be harvesting the invasive Garlic Mustard, which is edible and delicious. Bring a basket or a bag to bring some home with you, I’ll provide some recipes.  Dress for the weather, rain or shine. This class is free, and registration is kindly requested.
